U.S. Toll Rates

With nine toll locations there will be, on average, one ORT facility for every five to six interchanges. The chart outlines the toll rates projected for I-80.

Toll Incentive Program

The PTC is committed to providing a toll incentive program to reduce the impact tolls will cause drivers located near a toll facility. The PTC has announced that an E-ZPass customer driving a 2-axle passenger vehicle will not pay a toll until the second toll collection point. If your trip does not require you to pass through a second tolling point, you will not pay a toll.

A trip on I-80 is defined as a one way movement where you enter at one interchange and exit at another. The reverse movement (returning home from work, for example) would be considered a second trip.

For example, as an E-ZPass customer, if you were to get on I-80 in Clarion and drive to the Grove City Outlets and back you would not pay a toll because you would only pass through one toll site.

Volume discounts are also offered to E-ZPass commercial customers. A summary of the incentives is listed below:

  • 10% for monthly tolls of $1,000 to $5,000
  • 15% for monthly tolls of $5,000 to $10,000
  • 20% for monthly tolls of $10,000 and up
