The and began working with the in July 2007 to satisfy the Application Process for the Interstate System Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Pilot (ISRRP) Program.
Accomplished to date:
- Executed a 50 year lease agreement
- Provided nearly $1 billion in new funding to PennDOT (fiscal year 2008)
- Applied to FHWA to toll I-80 under the Program
- Met with nine I-80 Metropolitan and Rural Regional Planning Organizations (MPOs/RPOs)
- Established a 50-year master plan to rebuild I-80
- Proceeded with the Traffic & Revenue and Toll Location studies
- Advanced an Economic Study
- Conducted more than 50 public outreach meetings
