ISRRP The Pennsylvania Turnpike CommissionPTC and Pennsylvania Department of TransportationPennDOT began working with the Federal Highway AdministrationFHWA in July 2007 to satisfy the Application Process for the Interstate System Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Pilot (ISRRP) Program.

Accomplished to date:

  • Executed a 50 year lease agreement
  • Provided $2.275 billion in new funding to PennDOT (fiscal years 2008, 2009 and 2010)
  • Applied to FHWA to toll I-80 under the Interstate System Reconstruction and Rehabilitation PilotISRRP Program
  • Met with nine I-80 Metropolitan and Rural Regional Planning Organizations (MPOs/RPOs)
  • Established a 50-year master plan to rebuild I-80
  • Proceeded with the Traffic & Revenue and Toll Location studies
  • Advanced an Economic Study
  • Conducted more than 50 public outreach meetings
