Valley Forge Road Bridge

Allan A Myers, LP is the contractor working for the Turnpike Commission on the Valley Forge Road (SR 0252) bridge replacement project. The bridge is located over the PA Turnpike at Milepost 324 in Tredyffrin Township. Work began in February 2009.

This work requires that traffic be directed over an alternate route. A map depicting the posted detour routes for each bridge can be viewed below. The detour will be in effect from March 2, 2009 through November 6, 2009.

There will be occasions when the 6-mile mainline from the Milepost 320 (Future Route 29 Slip Ramps) to Milepost 326 (Valley Forge Interchange) will be closed to Turnpike traffic in both east and westbound directions. A staged road closure will be in effect during bridge removal and erection activities. This will take place in the early Sunday morning hours when traffic is at its lightest. Bridge demolition is tentatively scheduled for March 22, 2009. Advance public notification of a staged road closure will be provided by way of print and broadcast media, postings on this site, and project E-Bulletins.
