Project Overview and Schedule

In order to accommodate the new six-lane facility, two overhead bridges will need to be replaced prior to the start of construction on the Turnpike mainline. The first bridge replacement contract will be for the bridge carrying Valley Forge Road (SR 0252) over the PA Turnpike at Milepost 324. This bridge currently under construction. The second bridge replacement contract will be for the bridge carrying Mill Road (T-540) over the PA Turnpike at Milepost 322. The bridge is in final design with construction tentatively scheduled to begin in 2010. More information on this project can be found here.
