OPEN HOUSE PLANS DISPLAY

On Tuesday, January 27, 2009, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission held an open house plans display for the Total Reconstruction and Widening Project, Mileposts 320-326 (Future Rt. 29 Slip Ramps to Valley Forge Interchange) in Chester and Montgomery Counties. The purpose of the plans display was to present engineering design plans developed to date to rebuild and widen the Turnpike between Milepost 320 and Milepost 326.   The plans display was held at the Valley Forge Educational Services (Vanguard and Crossroads Schools) Activities Center in Paoli, PA.  Information available at the plans display included engineering design plans, typical roadway cross-sections, overhead bridges and detours, traffic noise analysis, right-of-way, public outreach and comment area.  Over 270 individuals attended the meeting.
